So if you can’t bring yourself to say goodbye to the King of Pop, this could be just what the doctor ordered.
Next up we have a treat for you history buffs–World War II in HD, from the History Channel on two disks for CD duplication. This release includes nearly eight hours of archival footage, combined with the new footage and interviews. Because so much of it is archival, the video quality varies, and the special features are pretty sparse. But it’s using a 10 ADI ADC encoded transfer with a DTS-HD master audio 5.1 mix, so check it out if you’re looking for a new perspective on World War II.
Speaking of World War II, our next release features Keira Knightley and James McAvoy starring in Atonement. High Def News calls it a good upgrade from the HD DVD version, with an ABC [MPEG 4] encoding, and a DTSHD 5.1 master audio mix for CD duplication.
